This striper and hybrid report fishing report has been brought to you exclusively by Robert Eidson of First Bite Guide Service, 770 827-6282. www.firstbiteguideservice.com Lake Allatoona, Georgia email: eidson6260@comcast.net.

Line-side fishing is great..The summer bite is in full swing. All the major creeks are producing good numbers of fish right now. And the down-line bite is nothing short of incredible. These fish are scatter in the water column from any where from 13 feet to 40 feet deep. Shad shiners and bream are all working. Make sure you catch your bream on hook and line.

Trolling is working very good right now. And for me there is nothing better then the Mack Farr u-rig. I have had some really good day here lately pulling these rigs. Also the Storm deep diving plugs are working good to.

Top Water is good early in the morning and late in the afternoon. And for right now it seems like the Sammy 110 is the best all round bait. It will work for Hybrids Stripers and schooling spots.

Summer here the fish are schooling up. It is the perfect time to take the kids fishing.

Grab the kids and lets go fishing.

Linesides: Excellent. “They’re on a summer bite, and that’s the easiest bite you can do - The mouth of Kellogg Creek where the river channel meets the creek channel is loaded with fish. Other locations with fish include the mouth of Illinois Creek, the ledge out from Bartow-Carver beach, and there’s a huge school coming up every morning at the mouth of Clear Creek. “If you live on the south end, the mouth of Clark and Tanyard where they come together is loaded with fish. There is also a Great bite around the island south of the bridge. The average daily catch right now is absolutely insane. Set the downlines at 24 feet. It’s a carbon copy every morning. I’m using threadfin and gizzard shad, but they die really quick, so I’m carrying some shiners. On the U-rigs, troll them 100 feet back at 3.1 to 3.4 mph. Troll the mouths of the creeks. Jigging spoons will get you bit, too.” The bite right now is the best I have seen all year. Give me a call at 770 827-6282 to book your trip today….

Line sides fishing is great. Guys fishing this week is the same as last week and maybe a little better change NOTHING… Guys the summer pattern is in full swing right now. That means it is time for Downlines, U-rigs ( Mack Farr ) and down riggers. Shad are very hard to keep a live right now.. So make sure you carry a couple a Doz. shiners ( Dugout ) with you when you head to the water. The southend of the lake is by far the best bite on the lake right now. Live bait fished off of any main lake point right now will get you bit. Also the humps in the mouth of all the main creeks are holding fish right now. There is also a good evening bite at the dam. The trolling bite is Good. I have had some really good fish this week pulling u -rigs near the mouth of Stamp Creek. The trolling bite is a little slower then the live bait bite. But seems to be producing bigger fish for me. Top water, the white bass bite is off the charts in the afternoon. Look for these fish on mid-lake flats. The island at Harbor town is a good place to start. A white rooster tail has been working best for these little white fish. I still have a few days open for June give me a call and lets go fishing.

Line side fishing is nothing short of Outstanding. The fish are back out of the rivers and hitting on the main lake points and humps between Victoria and Clear Creek. Fishing is beyond good and it is off the charts right now. Fish with down lines over a 40 foot bottom fishing down 30 feet. Kellogg Creek, Clear Creek and Bartow Carver area are excellent. There are fish on the south end. We fished the Allatoona Creek arm on 6/2 and we caught 20 plus fish including stripers, hybrids and some big spotted bass in a short 4 hour trip. We look for the fish on my Lowrance before dropping bait. They’re schooled up real tight and it is not uncommon to see 15 or 20 schools in a four hour trip with 60 to 100 fish in them. They’re chasing bait around. We caught them on thread fin and gizzards, but I’m sure they’d hit a shiner. Expect the top water and down line bites to continue until August. Be there at daylight looking for breakers. When fish aren’t up, ride the area looking at your graph for big schools of line sides and drop down lines. After the sun is up the umbrella rig bite is very good using the Mack Farr rig with nine baits all ½ ounce baits. Troll it 100 feet behind the boat at 3.1 mph. This is the best time of the year to introduce the kids to fishing. Give me a call at 770 827-6282 and book your family trip today.

Line side fishing is great. The bite this week is the same as last weeks change nothing……. The summer bite is really starting to take off. All the major creeks are producing good numbers of fish right now. And the down line bite is nothing short of incredible. These fish are scatter in the water column from any where from 13 feet to 40 feet deep. So for right now forget about that 18 foot factor I talk about all the time. Trust your Lowrance and if you are marking fish at 50 feet, go get them. Trolling is working great with the Mack Farr umbrella rig. Also the Storm deep diving plugs are working also. Top water action is good early in the morning and late in the afternoon. Use a Sammy 110 and catch the hybrids, stripers and schooling spots. The fishing is great right now.
Line side fishing is fair and the fishing this week has slowed down a little due to rising water. The lake is 4 feet above full pool and trash is everywhere. Pulling planner boards and free lines is almost impossible right now. Your best bet right now is fishing down lines and cut bait. Look for the lake to clear up fast as the water starts moving again. The shad spawn is in full swing. Look for fish to start busting top water soon. The fish are starting to come back down out of the rivers, and are starting to group up, and should start to feed. There are fish from the mouth of the Etowah River to as far south as Allatoona Creek. All of the major creeks have fish in them this week. If you find the bait you’ll find stripers and hybrids nearby. Fish flat lines in the morning and afternoon and down lines at midday. Trolling is fair with the Mack Farr 3 arm umbrella rig producing. Jig color doesn’t seem to matter, but speed is a factor. The best speed has been between 3.3 to3.5 miles per hour. Remember the month of May is one of the best months for line-side fishing. We still have a few days open this month and we’re offering family trips starting at $250.00.

Line side fishing is good and will only get better now that the spawn is almost over. Not much has change since last week.
Linesides: “The upriver bite is off the charts right now. You can catch 40 or 50 2- to 5-lb. hybrids a day up the Etowah from Knox Bridge to the ballparks in Canton. Small bait is the key to this bite. Go with medium shiners or threadfins. Fish right on the bottom. Cutbait and chicken livers will also work. If you don’t want to get into the boat traffic up the river, Allatoona Creek also has a decent amount of fish in it. I have been catching bigger stripers and hybrids in Allatoona Creek, but there is no where near as many fish as up the river. They are hitting a little bigger bait, gizzards and threadfins on freelines and planer boards, than upriver. Make sure you have some type of topwater ready when you get bit. Bring the fish up to the boat, but don’t land it. Four or five others will follow it up, and you can get a double or triple by being quick with a topwater bait. Robert likes an X-Rap in the bone color. The Trolling bite is dead. You best bet right now is live bait. The bite is getting better and better with each pasting day. If you would like to get into some of this great action give me a call at 770 827-6282 to book a trip….
