Line side fishing is great and the top water bite this week is still hot. Just like last week fish are still busting the top both on the north end and on the south end. The flats at Little River and the s turns are producing on the north end and from Red Top to Allatoona landing on the south end, just ride until you find them. These fish are coming up in big schools right at sun up and then again at sun down. If you are in the right place at the right time you can load the boat. We have had some really good morning this week. Rooster Tails and small Flukes and flies fished behind popping corks are all working. Mid day trolling umbrella rigs is your best bet. Troll your rigs 120 feet behind the boat at 2.4 to 3.1 miles and hour. We still have a few day open for Aug. Give me a call at 770 827-282 for availability.

Line side fishing is fair and they are scattered up and down the water column. This makes catching big numbers tough. You can be pulling your bait right on the edge of the river channel and mark a school at 30 feet. By the time you get your baits down, they are gone. Then another school comes on your screen it may be at 12 feet and then another at 24 feet. This wouldn’t be so bad if they would come up to eat. But they want the bait right in there face right now. When this happens, put 4 down rods out and one at 12 feet, one at 18 feet, one at 24 feet and another one at 30 feet. You will not double up very often, but you will hook up on at least one when these schools past under the boat. Flat lines are also working early morning and late afternoon. The south end of the lake is the best from Clear Creek to the dam. Top water has been hit or miss. One morning they will come up in good numbers. Then the next morning you may not see a single fish bust the top. Hopefully it will get more consistent in the new few weeks.

Line side fishing is great !!! Fishing this week has been a carbon copy of last week. We are still catching most of our fish on down lines. Live bait fished on down-lines 19-30 feet deep is the key to loading the boat There is still a decent top water bite right at sun up and then again at sun down. Most of the fish are in the mid-lake section to the south, from Galts Ferry to the 75 bridge, and I have been catching a lot of fish within sight of the dam this week. The mouth of Stamp Creek has been good, Coopers Branch is good at sunup, the Allatoona Creek arm and Tanyard Creek are all producing good right now. You can flat line at sunup, but you’re better off throwing a Sammy and or Fluke because it’s only a 15-minute window to catch them on top, then it’s time for down rods. After the sun gets up good, go to your unbrella rigs. Pull your rigs 130 feet behind the boat at 2.4 miles and hour. The key is a loaded Mack Farr U-rig with nine ½ ounce jigs. we still have days open for Aug. Give me a call at 770 827-6282 for availability…

Line-side fishing is great.. The bite this week is the same as last week change nothing….The summer bite is in full swing. All the major creeks are producing good numbers of fish right now. And the down-line bite is nothing short of incredible. These fish are scatter in the water column from any where from 13 feet to 40 feet deep. Shad, shiners and bream are all working. Make sure you catch your bream on hook and line. Be sure to carry plenty of bait and change it often. Frisky bait is the key to putting more fish in the boat….

.

Trolling is working very good right now. And for me there is nothing better then the Mack Farr u-rig. I have had some really good day here lately pulling these rigs. Also single buck-tails fished a 150 feet behind the boat at 2.4 miles and hour will get you bit….

Top Water is good early in the morning and late in the afternoon. And a white rooster tail is hard to beat . It is working well on Hybrids, Stripers and schooling spots.

Line side fishing is great. The fishing is the same as the summer pattern is in full swing. That means it is time for down lines, umbrella rigs and down riggers. Shad are very hard to keep a live so carry two dozen shiners when you head to the water. The south end of the lake is by far the best bite on the lake. Live bait fished off of any main lake point right now will get you bit. Also the humps in the mouth of all the main creeks are holding fish right now. There is also a good evening bite at the dam. The trolling bite is great for big fish. Pulling umbrella rigs near the mouth of Stamp Creek is good.

Line side fishing is great. The bite this was has been a carbon copy of last week’s Change nothing… Guys the summer pattern is in full swing right now. That means it is time for Downlines, U-rigs ( Mack Farr ), and down riggers. Shad are very hard to keep a live right now.. So make sure you carry a couple a Doz. shiners with you when you head to the water. The southend of the lake is by far the best bite on the lake right now. There is also a good evening bite at the dam.

Trolling: The trolling bite is great right now for bigger fish. I have had some really good fish this week pulling u-rigs near the mouth of Stamp Creek. The trolling bite is a little slower than the live bait bite, but seems to be producing bigger fish for me…

Top Water ! The great top water bite we have had the few weeks is gone. And I think the full moon phase is to blame. I look for it to pick back up by the middle of next week….
