Line side fishing is great and the top water bite is a barrel of fun all day. Get a white ½ ounce Rooster Tail and head for the monster schools of stripers, hybrids and white bass busting top water early morning and again late afternoon. The dam is still hot all the way north to Galts Ferry. At times you can see 5 to 6 different schools busting top water at the same time. And sometimes there may be as many as 300 to 400 fish in these schools. These fish are feeding on very small shad. Use the Jr. Flukes and Zara Spook Jr’s. Mid day you can catch these fish pulling umbrella rigs and fishing live bait on down lines off of any main lake point or hump in eye site of the dam. Mid lake is also holding good numbers of line sides but these fish are deep. Down lining shad and shiners it the mouth of the mid lake creeks has been working best. Kellogg Creek and Galts Ferry are both good starting points. We still have a few days open for June give me a call at 770 827-6282 for availability.

Line sides !!! Great… The fishing this week is the same as last weeks change nothing,,, The river run is over and the Stripers and Hybrids are really starting to school up on the main lake points, Flats and humps. This week my clients have caught very good numbers of Stripers and Hybrids on a half-day trip. Free-lining and down-lining shad has been the ticket for us this week. The fish are are scatter all over the lake right now and can be caught almost anywhere. We have caught good numbers of fish in the mouth of Clark and Tanyard Creek and Iron Hill this week. We have also done very well mid-lake this week from The S-Turns to Bartow Carver beach. The key to catching these fish is to be on the water with lines out at or before sun up.Your best bite is going to come in the first hour of day break.
These fish are on the move and are starting to school on top. So keep your eyes open and have a White Zoom Super Fluke Jr ready. Trolling is really starting to pick up. and is working best mid-day. The umbrella rigs are working best right now over 30 foot bottom. We still have a few days open for Juney give me a call at 770 827-6282 for availability….

Flat lines and planner broads are working best right now both in the morning and afternoon. Mid day try down lines off any main lake point. These fish are on the move and are starting to schooling top so keep your eyes open and have a White Zoom Super Fluke Jr ready. Trolling is really starting to pick up. Line side fishing is Excellent !!! The bite this week is the same as last week maybe even better change nothing.. The white bass bite is dying off but both the Little River and Etowah River runs are good for hybrids and stripers. Cut shad seems to be working best, but live shad and chicken liver will also work well. If you want to stay out and catch deeper fish, the Allatoona arm is producing very good numbers of stripers and hybrids Tanyard Creek, Clark Creek, Iron Hill and from the 75 bridge to the spillway are all good places to look. Every hump and point should have some fish on them. We are having our best luck pulling hand sized gizzard shad on flat lines and planer boards early, and then he’s switching to down lines once that bite slows. After about 10 am start pulling a umbrella rig. Chartreuse has been the best color for bucktails on the umbrella rig. Pull them 120 feet behind the boat at 3.1 mph. With the way they’re biting at Allatoona this week, even bank fishermen can catch fish. The spillway where Lake Acworth flows into the main lake is full of crappie bream, hybrids and white bass and they can all be caught from the bank. Also, Little River Landing is good. Cut shad and chicken liver are good baits. Night fishing under Hydro Glows has been good from Bethany Bridge to Park Marina. Shad or shiners fished down to about 18 feet should be good for the night bite. We still have a few open day for May Give me a call at 770 827-6282 for availability.

Lines-sides fishing is Great !!!! The bite this week has been Great. The fish are really starting to feed and can be caught almost any where on the lake right now. I have spent all of my time this week on the south end of the lake and have done very well for size and numbers . I have had some good reports that the Stripers and Hybrids have started their spawn run up the Etowah. But the bite has slowed down do to the cold front we had earlier this week. I look for the river bite to be in full swing by next week. ..If the river isn’t your thing there are still plenty of fish on the main lake. All of your major creeks have fish in them right now. Kellogg’s, Tanyard, Clarks, Clear, Iron Hill and Stamp Creeks are all holding fish right now.. If you find the bait-fish, you’ll find stripers and hybrids nearby. Flat-lining shad, shiners and trout are working best early morning and then again late afternoon. After the sun comes up switch to down-lines. Trolling is starting to improve !!! Single buck-tails and and crank baits are working best right now. When the water temp gets into the high 70’s look for the umbrella bite to turn on …. We still have a few open day for April. Give me a call at 770 827-6282 for availability….
