Line side fishing is still GREAT. This past week the number of fish my clients have caught has been unbelievable. We have been catching between 25-50 fish on our half day trips. The summer pattern is in full swing. The fish are out over the channels and are eating shad, shiners and bream on down lines fished between 19-30 feet deep. The best bite on the lake right now is in eye site of the dam. We haven’t seen any top water action this week. And I don’t look for it to really heat up for another 2 weeks

Trolling -The umbrella rig bite is still good. I have been pulling the Mack Farr four arm rig loaded with nine half oz jigs at 3.1 miles and hour and have been doing very well after the sun comes up. .

The white bass bite that was going on in the afternoon at HarborTown has really slowed down.

Line side fishing is GREAT. Guys fishing this week is the same as last week change nothing. On Tuesday July 15 I fished with Fred Womack and his two Grandsons. The fishing was Great the kids boated a total of 33 fish with most of them being big Hybrids and a few stripers up in the 10 lb range..The best bite going right now is south of Bartow Carver. The mouth of all the south end creeks are holding big schools of hybrids. There is a very good bite at the dam right at sun up as well. These fish can be caught on flat lines and top water plugs for the first 30 minutes of sun up. After that the down line bite really picks up. Look for these fish to be out over open water and at depths of 20 to 50 deep. Shiners, shad and bream are all working well for these schooling fish. If live bait isn’t your thing, try the umbrella rigs. The umbrella rig bite is really getting good right now. Pull your rigs at 3.1 miles and hour 130 feet behind the boat. White bass are hot and go to the Har bortown Marina area in the evenings and throw a Rooster Tail. I still have some days open for July. Call me and let’s take the kids fishing. 770 827 6282 please visit my fishing forum at www.lakeallatoonafishing.net for the latest up dates on Lake Allatoona.

Line side fishing is great and the fishing cannot get any better then it is right now. On the July 4 Party Boat Trip, my guys boated over 50 hybrids and stripers and had at least 30 more come unbutton or break off. The best bite going right now is south of Bartow Carver. The mouth of all the south end creeks are holding big schools of hybrids. There is a very good bite at the dam right at sun up as well. These fish can be caught on flat lines and top water plugs for the first 30 minutes of sun up. After that the down line bite really picks up. Line side fishing is great and fishing is the same this week as it was last week. June was one of the best months for numbers and it looks like July will even be better. I had some really good trips this week for the numbers and the sizes of the fish. It just keeps getting better and better each week. The hybrids we caught this week where deep. And I mean real deep to 42 to 50 feet deep. We have not seen fish this deep on Allatoona in June. The low levels last year changed the dynamics of the lake. Usually the fish are 18 to 24 feet deep. If you see them deep, go get them. Most of the fish are in the mid lake section to the south, from Galt’s Ferry to the 75 bridge. WE have been catching a lot of fish within sight of the dam. The mouth of Stamp Creek has been good, Coopers Branch is good at sunup, the Allatoona Creek arm and Tanyard Creek are good. You can flat line at sunup, but you are better off throwing a Sammy and a Fluke because it’s only a 15 minute window to catch them on top, then it’s time for down rods. After the sun gets up go to umbrella rigs from right in front of the dam to Stamp Creek. The key is a loaded Mack Farr U-rig with nine ½ ounce jigs. We’re dragging the umbrella rigs and catching six to 12 doing that to wrap up my trips. For lots of action for small white bass, go to the Harbortown Marina area in the evenings and throw a Rooster Tail. I still have some days open for July. Call me and let’s take the kids fishing. 770 827-6282 please visit my fishing forum at www.lakeallatoonafishing.net for the latest up dates on Lake Allatoona.

Line side fishing is great this week for numbers and we have been catching most of our fish on down lines. “Just last week, I had two boats working and boated 84 fish in a half day between the two of us. The hybrids we caught this week where deep. And I mean real deep and they are 42 to 50 feet deep. We have not seen fish this deep on Allatoona in June. They are deep like they are on Lanier. Line sides fishing is great. Guys fishing this week is the same as last week and maybe a little better change NOTHING… Guys the summer pattern is in full swing right now. That means it is time for Downlines, U-rigs ( Mack Farr ) and down riggers. Shad are very hard to keep a live right now.. So make sure you carry a couple a Doz. shiners ( Dugout ) with you when you head to the water. The southend of the lake is by far the best bite on the lake right now. Live bait fished off of any main lake point right now will get you bit. Also the humps in the mouth of all the main creeks are holding fish right now. There is also a good evening bite at the dam. The trolling bite is Good. I have had some really good fish this week pulling u -rigs near the mouth of Stamp Creek. The trolling bite is a little slower then the live bait bite. But seems to be producing bigger fish for me. Top water, the white bass bite is off the charts in the afternoon. Look for these fish on mid-lake flats. The island at Harbor town is a good place to start. A white rooster tail has been working best for these little white fish. I still have a few days open for June give me a call and lets go fishing.

Line sides Fishing is GREAT. Fishing this week has been some of the best I have seen in the past two months. The fish are setting up on a summer pattern right now and are easy to catch when you find them. The river and creek channels are the key. These fish are holding on all main lake points and humps that are close to the river and creek channels. I caught some nice fish this week trolling Mack Farr u-rigs over points and humps. I have spent most of my time this week mid - lake but I believe this would work any where on the lake right now. Down lining these same points and humps with live bait ( shad, shiners and bream ) will work too. Guys if you like fishing Lake Allatoona then you need to check out my fishing forum. Line side fishing is good and other than a slow few days during the full moon last week. The fish are out of the rivers and are really starting to bite. We’ve been catching fish in the S turns, between Little River and the Etowah, and Kellogg Creek has been good. The south end has had a real good bite in Allatoona Creek and there’s been a strong bite down around Clarks Creek. Fish flat lines and planer boards early, then downlines during the mid morning and umbrella rigs after that. On the down rods, concentrate on fishing a 25 to 30 foot bottom. Drop it to the bottom, and bring it up one crank. In the afternoons the small hybrids and white bass are coming up real good near Harbortown. Use a popping cork with a Jr Fluke to catch these fish. If you like striper fishing then check out my fishing forum. Go to www.firstbiteguideservice.com and go to the forum page. There is a lot of good info and people there. We still have a few days open for June give me a call at 770 827-6282 to book your trip.

Line sides fishing is good but has slowed down a little from to past two weeks. I think the full moon phase had something to do with it and the fishing should start to pick back up in the next few days. The fish we caught this week where scattered up and down the lake. From as far south as the 75 bridge to as far north as Victory landing. Down lines work over the river channels seem to be working best. We have caught a few fish this week on free to lines but the boat traffic makes it hard to fish this way. Trolling the Mack Farr umbrella rigs are working Fair right now. Pull a three to arm, with seven ½ ounce chartreuse jigs over a 25 foot bottom at 2.75 miles and hour will catch you a few fish. Look for the umbrella bite to get Hot when the water Temp hits 75 degrees. The top water bite is really starting to pick up right now. Throw a White Fluke at them when you see them busting. Some of the best top water action this week has been right at dusk at the mouth of Kellogg’s Creek and on the flat. We still have a few days open for June.
